Psychotherapy
Psychotherapy . . . therapy . . . counseling . . . whatever you call it (po-tA-toe // po-tă-toe), it is the main Osvog trade. I assess the mental health of new clients—of you, if you become a client (that just means I listen to you tell me the headlines of your story). Then ask what you want your life to look like. I create a map that lays out all the necessary terrane to cover, obstacles to conquer, and together we weave a path that will get you from Point A to Point Desire.
MOdalities
Psychotherapy is an art that requires attention to detail. I use a variety of approaches, though specialize in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. This eclectic approach uses CBT, Narrative, ACT, and EFT in a weaving kind of way. The results are outstanding.
Public Speaking
Mental health is a national (and now with Coronavirus, global) crisis. I am well trained, have a high level of excellence and drive and am an expert in my field. My style leans toward calmly charismatic motivational. It tends to be a winning combo for workshops | conferences | Town Hall meetings, etc. When you have opposing points of view and need to resolve to be able to work together in a meaningful way, I can be helpful.

Group/Class
From individual sessions to larger class-like settings, I lead seamlessly. I have practiced DBT on a state-certified team since I began (2010) and part of the gig is co-leading DBT group. I have command of the material and prefer when clients come prepared to engage their minds and critically think through all that is taught,
then bring all their skepticism / questions / concerns / complaints. That’s the best part, for me—when a client takes issue with the material in some way and we discuss . . . SO FUN!
group vs. class
DBT group is a component of a full-blown DBT program. My DBT program is a Linehan-adherent program so we run a weekly 2.5 hour group then + your 53min weekly individual therapy session. That’s the full program + homework each week. When you want to get to work and get your life redirected ASAP, this is what you do.
Class is a 30min offering for all my DBT graduates. It’s weird to go through a year-long intensive program of 3.5hrs of work each week, then you graduate and are flung out into the vast sky to fly. I find this to be the weak point in the DBT modality. That is what drove the creation of Class. It’s a bi-weekly touchpoint to come together for a brief mindfulness practice (5min), hit a skill at a high level (20min), then cap off with a brief closing (5min). This could also be a decent starting point for DBT-curious humans— as a way to get your feet wet. Mainly, it was created for DBT graduates.
